Roots and Riots was a pandemic passion project.

Every day after work, Maxime and I would get together to play with plants and craft. The rest is history.

Roots and Riots started with our hope to spark conversation and contribute to movements that inspired us. To raise money, we sold original plant pots and decór along side donated pieces from local artists. We donated over $1,200 across 5 different charities serving the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities.

I took on the design, photography, and social content creation needs for the project. Then, I tasked myself with my share of découpaged plant pots using archival newspaper printouts, two color linoleum block prints of four different plant types, and individual vector illustrations for every plant zodiac.
